Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA), 6-3 in a league challenge.

The Rockets now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Covington for a Pioneer challenge on Thursday, April 20. Craig County will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Parry McCluer falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Fighting blues travel to Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA) to battle the Celtics in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 19. The Celtics enter the challenge with a record of 6-9. Roanoke Catholic won 15-4 in their recent league challenge against Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA)
