Monte Vista Mustangs (Danville, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dublin Gaels (Dublin, CA), 9-2 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they host Dougherty Valley for a East Bay challenge on Wednesday, April 19. Monte Vista will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-3 league loss to Amador Valley (Pleasanton, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Dublin falls to 6-13 on the campaign. The Gaels host Granada (Livermore, CA) to face the Matadors in a East Bay challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Matadors enter the challenge with a record of 13-3. Granada won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Carondelet (Concord, CA)
