The Elkin Buckin' Elks the visiting Starmount Rams softball squad by a count of 4-1 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Buckin' Elks (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC). The Cardinals go into the non-league battle with a 9-7 record. In their last battle, East Surry was routed by West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC), 7-0, in a league battle.

The Rams now sport a 7-9 record. They play next when they host South Stokes for a Northwest 1A battle on Friday, April 21. Starmount will meet a Sauras squad coming off a 14-2 non-league win over Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 15-1.
