Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA), 10-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now sport a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Spotswood for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 20. Fort Defiance will face a Trailblazers squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Trailblazers record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Waynesboro falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Little giants host Riverheads (Staunton, VA) to face the Gladiators in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 21. The Gladiators enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Riverheads won 9-8 in their recent league challenge against Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA)
