Live Oak Acorns (Morgan Hill, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Acorns now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Westmont for a Mount Hamilton challenge on Thursday, April 20. Live Oak will face a Warriors squad coming off a 7-1 league win over Branham (San Jose, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Gilroy falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Leland (San Jose, CA) to face the Chargers in a Mount Hamilton challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 6-6. Leland won 13-1 in their recent league challenge against Pioneer (San Jose, CA)
