Illinois High School Softball - Herrin felled by Massac County

The Herrin Tigers softball team (Herrin, IL), was routed 14-1 in Tuesday's league test with the host Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL)

Coming up next, the Patriots encounter the Benton Rangers (Benton, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio test, on Friday, April 21. Massac County will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Rangers enter the test with a 11-10 record after their 6-3 non-league loss to Waltonville (Waltonville, IL).

The Tigers (7-14) will now prepare for their test against Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL). The Redbirds enter the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio test with a 11-4 record. In their last test, Frankfort was routed by Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL), 16-2, in a league test.
