The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) and the visiting Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL), saw Herscher's softball squad nip Wilmington by a count of 9-3.

The Tigers now sport a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lisle for a Illinois Central Eight match on Wednesday, April 19. Herscher will face a Lions squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Lions record now stands at 0-11.

With the loss, Wilmington falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Beecher (Beecher, IL) to face the Bobcats in a non-league match on Thursday, April 20. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 18-1. Beecher won 1-0 in their recent non-league match against Illiana Christian (Dyer, IN)
