North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC), 22-3 in a league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they host Union for a Carolina 1A challenge on Thursday, April 20. North Duplin will face a Spartans squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Lakewood falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC) to face the Wildcats in a Carolina 1A challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 3-11. Hobbton lost 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC)
