Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Raceland Rams (Raceland, KY), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they host Fairview for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 19.

With the loss, Raceland falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Greenup County (Greenup, KY) to face the Musketeers in a District 63 challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Musketeers enter the challenge with a record of 8-8. Greenup County lost 10-5 in their recent league challenge against Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY)
