Martin Luther Spartans (Greendale, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Joseph Lancers (Kenosha, WI), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Joseph for a Metro Classic challenge on Thursday, April 20. Martin Luther will face a Lancers squad coming off a 10-2 league loss to Shoreland Lutheran (Somers, WI). The Lancers record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, St. Joseph falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lancers host Shoreland Lutheran (Somers, WI) to face the Pacers in a Metro Classic challenge on Wednesday, April 19. The Pacers enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Shoreland Lutheran lost 8-3 in their recent league challenge against Racine Lutheran (Racine, WI)
