California High School Softball - Ponderosa bounces West Park

Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Park Panthers (Roseville, CA), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Bruins now sport a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln for a Foothill Valley League challenge on Thursday, April 20. Ponderosa will face a Fighting Zebras squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Fighting Zebras record now stands at 6-8.

With the loss, West Park falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Placer (Auburn, CA) to face the Hillmen in a Foothill Valley League challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Hillmen enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. Placer lost 12-5 in their recent league challenge against Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA)
