South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), 6-1 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they host Gray's Creek for a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, April 20. South View will face a Bears squad coming off a 14-1 league loss to Lumberton (Lumberton, NC). The Bears record now stands at 10-7.

With the loss, Purnell Swett falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Rams host Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC) to face the Falcons in a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Friday, April 21. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 0-13. Seventy-First lost 23-9 in their recent league challenge against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC)
