Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets (Los Angeles, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting St. Bernard Vikings (Playa del Rey, CA), 16-5 in a league challenge.

The Comets now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bishop Conaty-Loretto for a Horizon challenge on Thursday, April 20. Sacred Heart of Jesus will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 31-9 league win over St. Mary's Academy (Inglewood, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, St. Bernard falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Vikings host San Gabriel Mission (San Gabriel, CA) to battle the Pioneers in a Horizon challenge on Wednesday, April 19. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. San Gabriel Mission 0-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Hoover (Glendale, CA)
