Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC) and the visiting Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC), witnessed Weldon's softball squad prevail over Southeast Halifax by a count of 15-2.

The Chargers now sport a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Northampton County for a Tar Roanoke 1A match on Thursday, April 20. Weldon will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 20-4 league loss to KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Southeast Halifax moves to 7-6 on the season. The Trojans host Warren County (Warrenton, NC) to meet the Eagles in a Tar Roanoke 1A match on Thursday, April 20. The Eagles go into the match with a record of 11-3. Warren County won 14-13 in their recent non-league match against Vance County (Henderson, NC)
