The Hayward Hurricanes baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Spooner Rails to 2 in the Hurricanes league victory on Thursday.
The Hurricanes (6-3) will now prepare for their match against Cameron (Cameron, WI). The Comets go into the Heart O'North match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Cameron was overwhelmed by Ashland (Ashland, WI), 3-1, in a non-league match.
The Rails (4-4) will now prepare for their match against St. Croix Falls (St. Croix Falls, WI). The Saints go into the Heart O'North match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, St. Croix Falls gained a win over Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (Chetek, WI), 6-4, in a league match.
