Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) and the visiting Saratoga Falcons (Saratoga, CA), saw Monta Vista's baseball squad edge Saratoga by a count of 8-7.

Coming up next, the Matadors play the Santa Clara Bruins (Santa Clara, CA) in a El Camino battle, on Thursday, April 25. Monta Vista will attempt to move on its 5-14 season record. The Bruins enter the battle with a 10-9 record after their 7-1 non-league loss to Carlmont (Belmont, CA).
