In Thursday's league battle, the host North Surry Greyhounds soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the East Surry Cardinals.
The Greyhounds (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons come into the Foothills 2A battle with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, Forbush nudged West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC), 7-0, in a league battle.
The Cardinals (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles come into the Foothills 2A battle with a 10-3 record. In their last battle, Wilkes Central nudged Surry Central (Dobson, NC), 9-0, in a league battle.
