Vance Charter Knights (Henderson, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions (Durham, NC), 8-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Knights face the Oxford Prep Griffins (Oxford, NC) in a Triangle North 1A challenge, on Friday, April 19. Vance Charter will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Griffins enter the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 1-0 league loss to Eno River (Hillsborough, NC).

The Flying Lions now have a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they host Roxboro Community for a Triangle North 1A challenge on Friday, April 19. Excelsior Classical Academy will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 8-0 league win over Henderson Collegiate (Henderson, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-2.
