Gahr Gladiators (Cerritos, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting La Mirada Matadores (La Mirada, CA), 7-5 in a league challenge.

The Gladiators now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carson for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. Gahr will face a Colts squad coming off a 8-6 league win over Banning (Wilmington, CA). The Colts record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, La Mirada falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Matadores host Mayfair (Lakewood, CA) to face the Monsoons in a challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Monsoons enter the challenge with a record of 6-11. Mayfair won 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Ramona (Riverside, CA)
