The Alcoa Tornadoes softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders to 1 in the Tornadoes league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Alcoa improves its record to 20-3 on the year. The Tornadoes travel to William Blount (Maryville, TN) to clash with the Governors in a non-league game on Monday, April 22. The Governors come into the game with a record of 15-8.

In their next game, the Highlanders clash with the Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 20. Gatlinburg-Pittman will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Highlanders come into the game with a 7-1 record after their 7-5 non-league win over Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA).
