Brownstown Central Braves (Brownstown, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Scottsburg Warriors (Scottsburg, IN), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Braves now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Orleans for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. Brownstown Central will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to West Washington (Campbellsburg, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Scottsburg falls to 6-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Jennings County (North Vernon, IN) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Jennings County lost 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Silver Creek (Sellersburg, IN)
