Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders (Columbia, SC), 15-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they host Brookland-Cayce for a AAA Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 23.

With the loss, Heathwood Hall Episcopal falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Augusta Christian (Martinez, GA) to face the Lions in a SCISA AAA Region I challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 9-0.
