Hill-Murray Pioneers (Maplewood, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hastings Raiders (Hastings, MN), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Tartan for a Classic Suburban challenge on Tuesday, April 23. Hill-Murray will battle a Titans squad coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Mayo (Rochester, MN). The Titans record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Hastings falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN) to battle the Packers in a Classic Suburban challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Packers enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. South St. Paul won 9-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Richfield (Richfield, MN)
