The Lapeer Lightning softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Powers Catholic Chargers to 4 in the Lightning league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Lapeer moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Lightning host Heritage (Saginaw, MI) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league game on Thursday, April 25. The Hawks come into the game with a record of 4-5.

In their next game, the Chargers clash with the Midland Chemics (Midland, MI) in a Saginaw Valley game, on Monday, April 22. Powers Catholic will attempt to move on its 0-9 season record. The Chemics come into the game with a 4-2 record after their 4-0 league win over Davison (Davison, MI).
