The South Plainfield Tigers (South Plainfield, NJ) softball routed the visiting Metuchen Bulldogs (Metuchen, NJ), 8-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Tigers (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Woodbridge (Woodbridge, NJ). The Barrons go into the non-league bout with a 3-4 record. In their last bout, Woodbridge held off Kennedy Memorial (Iselin, NJ), 19-9, in a league bout.

The Bulldogs now possess a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to St. Thomas Aquinas for a GMC - Red game on Saturday, April 20. Metuchen will play a Trojans team coming off a 6-1 league win over Monroe Township (Monroe Township, NJ). The Trojans record now stands at 6-2.
