The South Stokes Sauras routed the visiting Mount Airy Granite Bears softball squad by a final score of 15-0 in Thursday's league battle.

The Sauras (6-13) will now prepare for their battle against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams go into the Northwest 1A battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Starmount was routed by Elkin (Elkin, NC), 7-3, in a league battle.

The Granite Bears now possess a 1-15 record. They play next when they travel to Elkin for a Northwest 1A battle on Tuesday, April 23. Mount Airy will confront a Buckin' Elks squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Buckin' Elks record now stands at 11-6.
