North Carolina High School Baseball - North Wilkes loses to North Surry

North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they saw their baseball team beat the host North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC), 17-7 in a league battle.
The Greyhounds (12-7) will now prepare for their battle against North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Vikings enter the non-league battle with a 16-6 record. In their last battle, North Stokes defeated South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 5-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Vikings face the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a Foothills 2A battle, on Tuesday, April 22. North Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a 14-6 record after their 10-9 league win over East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC).
