The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Winchendon Wapiti (Winchendon, MA) and the host St. Mark's Lions (Southborough, MA), saw Winchendon's baseball team beat St. Mark's by a margin of 11-4.
The Wapiti (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Putnam Science Academy (Putnam, CT). The enter the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Putnam Science Academy held off Springfield Commonwealth Academy (Springfield, MA), 9-5, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Lions face the Governor's Academy Governors (Byfield, MA) in a Independent School battle, on Saturday, April 19. St. Mark's will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Governors enter the battle with a 4-4 record after their 4-0 league loss to Noble & Greenough (Dedham, MA).
