Carlin Railroaders (Carlin, NV) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV), 16-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Carlin upgrades its record to 9-6 on the year. The Railroaders host Wells (Wells, NV) to play the Leopards in a 1A Northern game on Tuesday, April 22. The Leopards enter the game with a record of 8-6. Wells won 16-1 in their recent league game against Coleville (Coleville, CA)

The Bulldogs now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to Mineral County for a 1A Northern game on Monday, April 21. Smith Valley will play a Serpents squad coming off a 27-4 league win over Virginia City (Virginia City, NV). The Serpents record now stands at 9-5.
