Dalton Bulldogs (Dalton, OH) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH), 12-9 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Dalton upgrades its record to 8-5 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Northwestern (West Salem, OH) to play the Huskies in a Wayne County game on Tuesday, April 22. The Huskies enter the game with a record of 7-6. Northwestern lost 14-2 in their recent non-league game against Western Brown (Mt. Orab, OH)

The Mounties now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they host St. Paul for a Firelands game on Monday, April 21.
