South Spartans (Torrance, CA) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Torrance Tartars (Torrance, CA), 2-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, South improves its record to 8-10 on the year. The Spartans travel to Wiseburn- Da Vinci (El Segundo, CA) to face the Wolves in a non-league game on Monday, April 21. The Wolves enter the game with a record of 10-5. Wiseburn- Da Vinci lost 12-1 in their recent league game against Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates, CA)

The Tartars now hold a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to North for a game on Wednesday, April 23. Torrance will face a Saxons squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to West (Torrance, CA). The Saxons record now stands at 6-17.
