The Friona Chieftains baseball squad (Friona, TX), was overwhelmed 17-0 in Saturday's league contest with the host Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX)

With the triumph, Idalou moves its record to 11-13 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX) to confront the Mules in a 3A Region I District 2 contest on Tuesday, April 21. The Mules come into the contest with a record of 8-15. Muleshoe lost 17-1 in their recent league contest against Shallowater (Shallowater, TX)

The Chieftains now possess a 4-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Slaton for a 3A Region I District 2 contest on Tuesday, April 21. Friona will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 9-3 league win over Littlefield (Littlefield, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 8-8.
