In Monday's league contest, the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC), by a margin of 8-0.
With the triumph, South Caldwell moves its record to 9-1 on the year. The Spartans travel to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to play the Cougars in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest on Thursday, April 22. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 10-1.
