Arizona High School Baseball - Sunnyside nips Desert View

Sunnyside Blue Devils (Tucson, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Desert View Jaguars (Tucson, AZ), 12-11 in a league test.

With the win, Sunnyside upgrades its record to 13-13 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Nogales (Nogales, AZ) to battle the Apaches in a 5A Southern test on Thursday, April 21. The Apaches come into the test with a record of 24-2. Nogales won 15-1 in their recent league test against Buena (Sierra Vista, AZ)

With the defeat, Desert View falls to 11-13 on the season. The Jaguars host Cienega (Vail, AZ) to battle the Bobcats in a 5A Southern test on Thursday, April 21. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 13-10. Cienega lost 7-6 in their recent non-league test against Williams Field (Gilbert, AZ)
