The East Columbus Gators baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting West Columbus Vikings to 1 in the Gators non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Gators (6-9) will now prepare for their match against South Columbus (Tabor City, NC). The Stallions go into the Waccamaw 1A/2A match with a 4-13 record. In their last match, South Columbus was overwhelmed by Cherryville (Cherryville, NC), 11-5, in a non-league match.
The Vikings (3-12) will now prepare for their match against Pender (Burgaw, NC). The Patriots go into the Waccamaw 1A/2A match with a 2-11 record. In their last match, Pender was overwhelmed by Wilmington Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC), 19-9, in a non-league match.
