The Gary West Side Cougars baseball team (Gary, IN), was overwhelmed 16-1 in Tuesday's league outing with the host Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN)
The Governors now hold a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Munster for a non-league outing on Friday, April 22. Hammond Morton will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 12-2 league win over Hobart (Hobart, IN). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-1.
Next, the Cougars confront the South Bend Clay Colonials (South Bend, IN) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, April 23. Gary West Side will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Colonials go into the outing with a 1-2 record after their 23-4 league loss to New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN).
