Texas High School Baseball - Robstown defeats Zapata

April 19, 2022: Zapata, TX 78076

Robstown Cottonpickers (Robstown, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Zapata Hawks (Zapata, TX), 6-1 in a league test.

With the win, Robstown upgrades its record to 16-10 on the season. The Cottonpickers host King (Kingsville, TX) to battle the Brahmas in a 4A Region IV District 31 test on Friday, April 22. The Brahmas come into the test with a record of 4-8. King lost 12-0 in their recent league test against Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX)

With the defeat, Zapata falls to 3-11 on the season. The Hawks travel to Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX) to battle the Wildcats in a 4A Region IV District 31 test on Friday, April 22. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 19-5. Calallen won 4-1 in their recent league test against Alice (Alice, TX)
