In Tuesday's league battle, the host West Wilkes Blackhawks soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the North Surry Greyhounds.
The Blackhawks (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC). The Cardinals come into the Foothills 2A battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, East Surry nudged Surry Central (Dobson, NC), 1-0, in a league battle.
The Greyhounds (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies come into the non-league battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Ashe County nudged Alleghany (Sparta, NC), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
