Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad overcome the visiting Winchester Thurston (Pittsburgh, PA), 17-9 in a league battle.

The now have a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Freeport for a non-league battle on Friday, April 22. Sewickley Academy will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 24-3 league loss to Mars (Mars, PA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-4.

In their next game, the clash with the Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 1 battle, on Monday, April 25. Winchester Thurston will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Quakers come into the battle with a 9-0 record after their 17-6 non-league win over Knoch (Saxonburg, PA).
