Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Portales Rams (Portales, NM), 11-3 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 17-4 record. They take the field next when they host Goddard for a 4A District 4 challenge on Saturday, April 23. Artesia will battle a Rockets squad coming off a 7-5 league loss to Lovington (Lovington, NM). The Rockets record now stands at 8-14.

With the loss, Portales falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Rams host Dexter (Dexter, NM) to battle the Demons in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 21. The Demons enter the challenge with a record of 8-9. Dexter won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against East Mountain (Sandia Park, NM)
