In Tuesday's league contest, the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) softball team overwhelmed the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), by a margin of 22-0.
With the triumph, Belen moves its record to 14-10 on the year. The Eagles host St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Sartans in a 4A District 5 contest on Thursday, April 21. The Sartans come into the contest with a record of 15-4. St. Pius X won 15-0 in their recent league contest against Grants (Grants, NM)
In their next game, the Hornets play the Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM) in a 4A District 5 contest, on Thursday, April 21. Highland will attempt to move on its 1-19 season record. The Jaguars come into the contest with a 5-15 record after their 17-7 non-league loss to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM).
