North Carolina High School Softball - Cherokee bounces Swain County

Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 18-5 in a league challenge.

The Braves now sport a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they host Robbinsville for a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge on Wednesday, April 20. Cherokee will face a Black Knights squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN). The Black Knights record now stands at 11-2.

With the loss, Swain County falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Maroon devils travel to Blue Ridge Sports Academy (Swannanoa, NC) to face the Guardians in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 21. The Guardians enter the challenge with a record of 0-2.
