Childress Bobcats (Childress, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tulia Hornets (Tulia, TX), 13-12 in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 6-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Slaton for a 3A Region I District 2 challenge on Friday, April 22. Childress will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 14-3 league loss to Tulia (Tulia, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 5-11.

With the loss, Tulia falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Hornets host Idalou (Idalou, TX) to battle the Wildcats in a 3A Region I District 2 challenge on Friday, April 22. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 18-5. Idalou won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Abernathy (Abernathy, TX)
