Cyprus Pirates (Magna, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Roy Royals (Roy, UT), 9-5 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Granger for a 6A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, April 21. Cyprus will battle a Lancers squad coming off a 18-8 league loss to Hunter (West Valley City, UT). The Lancers record now stands at 5-15.

With the loss, Roy falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Kearns (Kearns, UT) to battle the Cougars in a 6A Region 2 challenge on Wednesday, April 20. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. Kearns lost 24-0 in their recent league challenge against West (Salt Lake City, UT)
