Elkhart Elks (Elkhart, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Westwood Panthers (Palestine, TX), 14-3 in a league challenge.

The Elks now own a 17-10 record. They take the field next when they host Franklin for a 3A Region III District 20 challenge on Friday, April 22. Elkhart will meet a Lions squad coming off a 19-0 league win over Crockett (Crockett, TX). The Lions record now stands at 25-2.

With the defeat, Westwood drops to 7-15 on the year.
