Hawkins Hawks (Hawkins, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they host Union Grove for a 1A Region III District 19 challenge on Monday, April 25.

With the loss, Overton falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Union Hill (Gilmer, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a 1A Region III District 19 challenge on Friday, April 22. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-8. Union Hill lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX)
