California High School Softball - Oakmont bounces Lincoln

Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lincoln Fighting Zebras (Lincoln, CA), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ponderosa for a Foothill Valley League challenge on Thursday, April 21. Oakmont will face a Bruins squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Lincoln falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Fighting zebras travel to Notre Dame (Salinas, CA) to face the Spirits in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 21. The Spirits enter the challenge with a record of 13-4. Notre Dame won 10-1 in their recent league challenge against North Salinas (Salinas, CA)
