Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host New Brockton Gamecocks (New Brockton, AL), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they host Brantley for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. Long will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-6 non-league win over Wicksburg (Newton, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 23-6.

With the loss, New Brockton falls to 10-10 on the campaign. The Gamecocks travel to Ariton (Ariton, AL) to battle the Purple Cats in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25. The Purple Cats enter the challenge with a record of 12-10.
