California High School Softball - San Marcos bounces Santa Ynez

San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Santa Ynez Pirates (Santa Ynez, CA), 21-5 in a league challenge.

The Royals now own a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pioneer Valley for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 21. San Marcos will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 9-4 league loss to Morro Bay (Morro Bay, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Santa Ynez falls to 3-16 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Templeton (Templeton, CA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 6-12. Templeton won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Morro Bay (Morro Bay, CA)
