In Tuesday's league outing, the host Zuni Thunderbirds softball team scored a nice 20-5 win over the Thoreau Hawks.
Coming up next, the Thunderbirds battle the Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) in a 3A District 1 outing, on Tuesday, April 19. Zuni will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Hawks enter the outing with a 3-8 record after their 24-8 league win over Newcomb (Newcomb, NM).
The Hawks (3-10) will now prepare for their outing against Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Thunderbirds enter the 3A District 1 outing with a 9-5 record. In their last outing, Zuni ran past Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM), 18-17, in a non-league outing.
